Introduction
Wus good, My name is Luke and I am a skater and an indie game dev, I also play plenty of games myself. I have working on the action-adventure/parkour game “Blackout Crew” for about 6 months now.
Development

(above) A textured building asset from my Blackout Crew’s first level
I have been making a whole lot of progress on Blackout Crew, especially with texturing level assets and characters.
I feel like game development as a whole can be described by one of Toby Fox’s famous (Creator of Deltarune and Undertale) famous quotes:
Welcome to hell”

A pretty good explanation for the level of difficulty you will encounter in trying to make interactive art. especially from the perspective of trying to make a game that look as good as it plays and vice versa. Some of the key attributes you’ll need to think of when making a game are:
- Learning as you work
- Balancing general appeal and niche
- Drawing the line between aesthetic and negative niche
And by far the most important of all, being unafraid to try strange or seemingly unappealing things, or mechanics, believe me, they do work more often than not.
